Nice one Gully, not tried that flavour myself, deliberately stuck to apple and menthol otherwise I'd be wanting to try every flavour going.

What set up are you getting?

It's the basic start up kit.

Battery, orange tic tic refill and filter, I think.

Everybody in the pub uses them now on darts nights - neon blue lights aplenty - so smoking outside has started to become far less sociable.

Sounds good, catching on in a big way, even Marlboro are getting involved now. Post a picture when you get it, will be interested to see what you get.

A lot of people are happy with the cig a like ones, the main issue is battery life though. Hopefully that will be enough for you but if you want some good cheap or not so cheap alternatives let me know.

Good work Mabbsy. Think you're the only one from the "Giving up smoking" thread who's stuck at it.

    Apologies, DD.

I received the E-Go electronic smoking device for Christmas.

For 40 it came with two batteries, a charger (it is USB so it can be used with smartphone chargers), a fluid dispenser, a fluid chamber with mouthpiece and a liquid of your choice (I received Orange Tic Tac flavour but it wasn't to my liking). Instead I opted for strawberry and lime flavour, which is like smoking a bottle of Koppaberg.

The first hit you have is quite harsh to begin with but you soon settle in to it.

My first darting outing with it was last night and now nobody on my team goes out for a smoke. I quite happily tooted on it in between throws in my darts match and in between go's during my doms games.

I'll probably try a tobacco flavour mixed with cherry next after trying a friend's version of it last night.

A bottle of fluid costs a fiver and lasts a long time. I'm about a a quarter of the way through my first bottle.

In short, I'm very pleased with it!

Excellent work Gully, that looks like an ego battery with a vision clearomiser on top. Good bit of kit, excellent first ecig. Won't hurt to try out flavours, thousands to choose from. Next step down the line if you stick with it is to mix your own juice, surprisingly easy and 1/10th of the cost. Can also re-wick those clearomisers to get them pumping out more steam. Top marks though, I'm impressed.

Oooh, I'm intrigued about more steam.

I'm on my homebrew at the moment and the E-Cig is a perfect accompaniment

All about re-wicking it yourself. The fitted wicks are ok but when you do them yourself you get much better results. Need some kanthal or nichrome wire then a choice of wick. Usually the wicks are fibreglass or silica (same thing really) but I use braided cotton.

I have been a social smoker since I started smoking and I much prefer staying indoors and tooting rather than going outside, leaving the convo and then rejoining it.

I could murder a spliff but causes major domestics when I smoke weed so knocked it on the head. Craving one badly now though, thanks for that!

Hope you realise these electronic cigs can be recharged. Simply stick the end into a light socket.
