Ouch. I see why you typo'd then. That result was stuck in your head! Ah well, there's always another week for revenge.

 Re: First Time Playing For a Team. . . . . .
Never a truer word spoken perhaps sat. We are scheduled to play them next Monday in the League Cup at home. The question is will it just turn into a jolly again.

 Re: First Time Playing For a Team. . . . . .
i can see it being a jolly again because the way the draw has worked out.
its a case of if we win we get the league champions in the next round of the cup after they got a bye. so there is no hope for winning it, and i can see the rest of our team not giving a fuck

The_Cutch wrote: Go out there and kick some ass guys... well here is the report.... captain asked me to skipper the side as he was gonna be late so i said of course, got the draw done and we won the first 6 singles dropping only 1 leg. so we had our revenge for last week as we couldnt be beaten now and we only needed 1 more win to go through but we lost the next 2 however we couldve easily won them if the doubles had gone in so we werent that bothered about that we knew that we had pumped them good and proper, and so at halftime it was 6-2 to us meaning we only had to win 1 double. now i had already paired up people splitting up the better players so we covered all bases but thanks to some constructive criticism ( cheers frog ) i changed the pairs to put me and frog together first up to guarantee a win and it paid off with our leg going as follows ( frog first ) 85, 33, 85, 60, 81, 60, 140 which left us on 157 with me to go, and after hitting 5 i thought well better make a decent dent with my last 2 darts and i managed to hit 2 t20's so that left frog 32 which he took out first dart so thats a total of 25 darts for 701 at an average of 84.12, ok most of that credit goes to frog but still an awesome doubles performance. so that was us 7-2 up and the other team was happy to give us the win and as its the cup so leg difference doesnt count. on to next week now against the pub across the road ......

 Re: First Time Playing For a Team. . . . . .
It was an emotional week for me. It may have seemed i took it a bit serious due to this thread before but the reason was i loved to win for my girlfriend. I have been under enormous pressure the last 3 months and winning meant alot to me as i knew it made my gf happy. Unfortunately my gf died last week. I dont expect sympathy, these things happen. Life goes on and i hope you all understand why i may have not been my normal Frog self these last few months. I played tonight for her, i won both my singles and doubles and it meant alot. I hit 6 ton+'s and i thought i played ok. Kirsteen, i have played for you all year, you were the drive that kept me going and i will always love you. RIP, this is for you, you will always be in my heart. xxxx.

 Re: First Time Playing For a Team. . . . . .
I can only echo the comments of the others so far Frog. Your Kirsteen died knowing she was deeply loved, you could do no more mate.
Take care Frog and I know this will sound corny but I'm sure we're all here for you and thinking of you.
