We do know that they attempted to have a Cross code competition with the BBC as Broadcaster, 16 players from each code. But Hearn turned it down and introduced the GSoD's.

However if the money's not there, you are very limited in what can be done.

I agree more should be or at least seen to be done, and change is needed. I think the next 12-24 months will be critical to see how the BDO can take the game as a whole forward.

frankly im glad uncle barry did the GSoD, itv4 make a better fist of darts than the Beeb do, with much less practise.

as for the money, the BDO have no one but themselves to blame for that, they arent selling the product well.
